There are five distinct areas of business required for a solid, stable and lucrative operation – we call them pillars. When all pillars are in place, a company is a vibrant, profitable organization capable of continuity whether or not the owner is there. Our training modules are broken down into categories depending on the area of a company that is influenced:
Our clients are companies like yours:
The purpose of a business is to create and satisfy customers at a profit. In other words, for a company to be a business, it must make money. Profitability is the positive gain after subtracting expenses. Without profit, it isn’t a business. At
best, it is an expensive hobby. Profits are what
a company uses to grow and expand.
Office and Operational Efficiency means the competent management of day-today operations, paperwork, and financial record keeping and reporting. Good information and documentation are required for business owners to make astute decisions. When this pillar is fully functional, the owner(s) are ‘on top of’ situations before they become obstacles.
This pillar is the human element of a company — how employees perform and interact with each other & management, and how management / owners lead (or thwart). Morale and productivity are determined by how well (or poorly) employees and management interact with each other. It is not a coincidence that productivity and morale affect profitability.
This pillar is the hand-in-hand relationship between how a company attracts potential customers, and turns them into clients or customers. Without marketing activities, a company must rely totally on word-of-mouth, resulting in painfully slow growth. Marketing opens doors, relying on ‘sales’ to turn them into customers. If sales skills are lacking, marketing dollars will not produce a good ROI.
At almost any stage, every company needs a plan—for growth, for improvement, for succession (retirement or sale). Our philosophy is “If you aren’t planning to succeed, you are planning to fail.” A business plan creates a stable environment of achievement and continuous growth, and enables a Work-Life balance for owners.
